• Future Academy is a dynamic new company providing training to individuals as well as groups
• Our focus will be on quality and relevance, keeping in mind the needs of the students as the relevancy to potential employees and employers.
• Starting December 2015, Future Academy opens its doors to individuals and groups requiring training on the computer modules we offer. See Courses.
• An accredited ICDL centre, Future Academy will offer training at the Skills Development Centre located at 12 Market Street, North End, Port Elizabeth. Our flexible scheduling allows individuals to study selected computer modules that are pre-set or customised according to needs and finances.
• Training is instructor led
• Customising courses allows training candidates to select their modules that will be relevant and able to be implemented in the workplace.
• We do offer a public training schedule for individuals and corporates to send employees to training at our centre. Alongside this, Future Academy provides standard or customised courses for corporate groups wishing to train

The Need For Computer Literacy

Computer literacy is a very important skill to possess. Generally Employers expect their employees to have basic computer skills because companies are becoming increasingly dependent on computers. Computers are used in the workplace to improve efficiency and efficacy.
With this being the age of technology, computer literacy can be critical to the success and advancement of companies. As a result, employees are required to have computer literacy skills.

Computer Literacy is a profitable Skill in the job market

Being able to use programs such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel may mean that you have a computer skill that other potential job candidates do not and this may land you the job.
Learning a new program like MS Office Word may allow you more flexibility in your work tasks and our ability to use a computer may allow you to get work complete work tasks in an efficient organized manner.
Even for those individuals who do not plan to work in a traditional office environment or setting, will still benefit from being computer literate.
